Nurburgmotorsport together with Allianz now can offer extra Visitor Support with the introduction of Nürburgring insurance cover for car drivers & motorbike riders.

Today, German based and British owned company Nurburgmotorsport UG and one of Germany’s largest insurance companies Allianz AG, signed an agreement which will offerextra visitor support, through insurance cover whilst driving on the gruelling Nürburgring.

The Nürburgring, simply known as "The Ring" by enthusiasts, and can be classed as a normal road in Germany, or a motorsport race track, depending on whom you speak to. It is open to anyone with a road legal car or motorcycle and also a few euro in their pocket to pay for the road toll. Like all roads or race tracks throughout the world accidents occur, people can be injured and property is damaged.

However, gone are the days when Ring related insurance claims are settled when containing accident statements like; the accident happened on the long and twisty road between Nürburg and Adenau. Most insurance companies are now fully aware of the Ring and standard automotive and accident insurance policies’ simply do not provide cover whilst driving on this Public tourist toll road, also referred to as the Northloop, Nordschleife or more imaginatively the Green Hell.  

 “Given the immense popularity of visitors coming to experience the unique Ring thrills and amazing new entertainment facilities available here for all the family, it makes sense to be able to relax more by taking out some insurance cover,” says Ken Harris, British owner and founder of German based, Nurburgmotorsport. He continues, “I approached the Allianz management and they understood the scope of the problem immediately. An initial meeting was quickly arranged to finalise the details”.
Herr Eichhorn  - Regional Manager on behalf of Allianz AG says “We were satisfied with all of Nurburgmotorsports’ proposals, for example, each vehicle undergoes a visual inspection by experienced Engineers. This means Allianz can obtain better risk management and keep costs down for our customers”.
